First Review! Wet N' Wild MEGA Last Lipstick Thoughts and Swatches

Ah, my first blog post. I've been wanting to do this for a while, and have also been talking about these lippies for quite some time. Seems perfect.

I've been a lipstick fanatic since I was a teen, and this brand reminds me much of being a teen! 2 bucks for a lipstick was perfect until you grow to be a makeup snob and find better, more pricey cosmetics. It looks as though even now, a $2 lipstick could still be perfect..

The first time I heard people rave about these, I bought the shades from my local CVS that might look best on me and my skin tone. (I'm quite olive with a light-medium tone) Now, I'm a fan of matte everything, and these lipsticks are quite matte. If your lips tend to be on the drier side, applying lip balm beforehand will do the trick. A few of these shades can bleed, but a good lip liner works great. (MAC and No.7 brands have been perfect for me)

Anywhoosies, here's the swatches:

I wore Sugar Plum Fairy before an interview (which is my FAVORITE by the way.. ) had a full breakfast and a few hours of hanging out, never reapplied and that bad boy stayed on until the evening. The staying power is strong, they're opaque and vibrant, and they're MATTE. Which I LOVE.
The negatives, and I mentioned this before- some shades do bleed and feather. Cherry Bomb being the worst out of the 6 shades I swatched. It could also be a nightmare if you're not a fan of very matte lippies. The packaging is another factor, when you're at the store picking these out, make sure the lipstick is attached to the tube, sometimes they fall off. Test them by turning the lipstick upside down.

In a nutshell, I give these an 8 out of 10. Okay, maybe an 8 1/2. I've been wearing these for about a year and will be continuing to gather my loose change for these.

What do you think?
